This was our first stay with Spacious Skies. I can not say enough positive things about Bear Den. The area is extremely beautiful and the campsites are private, clean and so peaceful. The staff was more than competent and welcoming. There was a specific groundskeeper and , forgive me for not getting his name, he wore a hearing device, and WAS ONE OF THE MOST HELPFUL PEOPLE WE HAVE MET EVER WHILE TRAVELING:) The facilities were overly clean and stocked. The lake and fishing area was immaculate. I did not see one piece of litter or animal waste anywhere. Y'all set our expectations for Spacious Skies and because of you, we booked 4 additional stays at other SS locations within the next month. Thank you for a memorable stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We rented a cabin and my daughter and her friend loved staying in the loft. The cabin backs up right next to the woods and was super relaxing. The sites are pretty closely together but everyone is very respectful and we didn't really hear our neighbors at all.
They have basic necessities, snacks, a small selection of gifts and firewood for sale at the office. They offer a few places for the kids to play and the hiking trails are super convenient.
The location is right off the Blue Ridge parkway and is in a very beautiful location. Wonderful place and the staff were all super friendly as well.

Wow, what a great place! My husband and I usually tent camp. However, Friday we bought a camper and, with our youngest child, drove straight to this campground to "break it in". The campground has so many family and kid friendly things to do. An arcade area, recreation building with ping pong tables and a pool table, and a beautiful lake. They played a movie at the rec building Saturday for anyone who wanted to watch. Bath houses were very nice and clean and the camp site had full hookup capabilities. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful with anything we needed. It's in a great location of the Blue Ridge Parkway, with fabulous views driving to and from, and lots of hiking options around, too. It feels like you're away from everything, but then you find a Walmart about 15 minutes away, great for those little forgotten items. While it's a bit over 3 hours from our home, we will definitely be back in the future! I would most definitely recommend this campground to anyone wanting to unplug and enjoy some time in nature! Oh, and they had a cute sign that we took pictures with since it was our first camp with the new camper!

By far the best campground we have ever stayed at in the past 35 years. Well maintained, staff was super friendly and helpful, tons of things to do right at the campground or just chill at your peaceful campsite. Spectacular long range mountain views right down the street. Fellow campers were very respectful. We will be back again this year we loved it so much!

We stayed in loop A and we were very satisfied with the location. We enjoyed fishing and swimming at the pond. The kids and I loved the hiking trails and taking the golf carts in the trails around the campground. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can say is the WiFi and cellphone signal is less than perfect but then again we were there to enjoy the great outdoors.

Very nice campground accommodating tent camping, RVs and rustic cabins. The ladies in the office were fabulous. Bathhouse were amazingly clean and air-conditioned! Firewood $8.49 bundle and ice $2.67 bag available, along with propane. Were warned to store coolers in our vehicle overnight to deter bears. 🐻
