Spacious Skies Hidden Creek is a year-round RV park and campground in Marion, NC, 5 minutes off I-40, 30 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 45 minutes east of Asheville downtown. Full-hookup RV sites offer 30- and 50-amp service, with pull-thru and big-rig-friendly sites plus creek- and lakefront options. Stay a night on your way through, a month, or the whole season. Families come for the pool, waterslide, stocked fishing lake, and gem mine. Cabins with linens and tent sites are also available, with laundry and a camp store on site.

Kids stay busy from morning to campfire with the hillside waterslide, Junior Olympic-sized pool and wading pool, gem mining, and creek play. On Hidden Creek Lake you can fish the stocked waters or rent kayaks, canoes, and water bikes. Themed weekends run through the season. Stay in a cabin with a full kitchen and private bath, or pitch a tent.

My mom used to bring me here when it was yogi bear about 23 years ago. Now that I have my own kids and a camper we have carried on the traditions. We just left from our 5th stay and have nothing but good to say about this place. The kids have an absolute ball from the time they open their eyes to the time they pass out by the fire that night. They seem to have a whole new set of staff from the last time we were there and they are top notch! Hands down the friendliest staff we have met yet. Devan was great and very attentive to any issues that came up. Highly recommend.

Nice campground and good spots. Pretty level and bathrooms/showers are good. Seemed a lot of them in the top loop were out of order. Got VERY full on Friday, not really our scene. Pool, lake, and water slide are all nice and enjoyable to use. Firewood for sale was not dry, laughable wet and not great for the campfire even though stored inside. Wasn't told bathroom/shower door code at check in, and it took awhile to track someone down that knew it since we got in close to end of check in time. Location of campground is good, we went to the caverns and some surrounding hiking trails.

My grandparents used to bring me and my brother here when we were little. The time I spent here is a core memory for me. Last week I brought my daughters and a couple of their friends for a birthday weekend trip. The girls had a blast! The very best part was that they all stayed off their phones and played! They enjoyed the waterslide, the pool, the playground, the pond with kayaks, canoes and water bikes! They played in the creek for hours, played volleyball, basketball and jumped for a long time on the blob! For what it’s worth, we stayed in a cabin and it was very clean. We felt safe inside the campground and the staff was friendly. 10/10

This was our second stay with Spacious Skies. Perfect mix of privacy and meeting new friends:) Beautiful property with a Lakeview that is lit up at night. Very clean facilities and pool area. We did not go on the waterslide, however, the female working (Aug 21and 22) it was so very kindhearted and kept all kids safe. We could hear her as the kids were going up and she really made their day. We met her later as she swam with her own son at the pool and continued to be hospitable even though off duty. I was in awe of how she spoke to the children and asked them all if they were excited 🙂 The female working the office morning of Aug 23rd (Crystal ?)was especially helpful in printing a copy of our temp trailer tag for us as we recently purchased our camper. This campground went beyond duty. You guys are amazing!

My family and I stayed at Spacious Skies Hidden Creek and had a wonderful time! We are so excited to bring out little boy back to play in the pool! My husband is also so excited and cannot wait to ride on the slide when it opens up! The staff there is super sweet and friendly! Also the events that they hold on the weekend for their themed weekends are the best! They are suh a wonderful way to meet new traveling families like mine! I would recommend this campground to anyone who wants to go for a week or even a quick trip on the weekend! My family and i will be visiting all 15 Spacious Skies Campgrounds in the future!

What a lovely campground, this place has everything you need an more. The "Hidden Creek" is like a secret oasis and the campground itself is full of fun for kids and adults of all ages. The cabin was clean, the pool was maintained, the canoes/kayaks were icing on the cake, and the place felt very inclusive and safe for all people. I loved that there were no political signs and a variety of people from all walks of life. Rooms: The bed was okay but the futon was not great - either for sitting or sleeping. I would just opt for a nice couch to sit on instead or a trundle day bed. Noteworthy details: So many fun amenities - gem mining, canoeing, swimming, basketball, craft time, decorations, nature trail, well-maintained campsites, and to top it off, they had ice cream and treats to buy.
