NASHOBA PADDLER

Rent quality Old Town canoes and kayaks and BIC stand up paddleboards on the beautiful, friendly Nashua River in West Groton, Massachusetts. Launch from our rental site and paddle for hours in either direction! Our friendly rental staff will assist you with your boat, provide paddling and safety tips, give you an idea of what you might see on the river, and share the amazing story of the Nashua River’s history. Have fun exploring the main channel of the Nashua, the smaller tributary of the Squannacook, and the pond-like ox bow of Dead River. Each season brings different experiences and sightings. Paddles and life vests included for all ages.

Pick Your Own apples started here in the 1960’s and continues today. PYO blueberries & raspberries are the summer crops along with a fine selection of peaches, picked for you, and for sale at the stand. The season is finished with Cut Your Own Christmas trees in Nov. and Dec.

You will also find our pumpkins and gourds, as well as honey, cider (and sometimes, maple syrup), all local. The maple syrup is made from sap collected in town and boiled to syrup by Harvard Maple Syrup Producers

Harvard Alpaca Ranch is located on 5.7 acres of beautiful farmland that was formerly a horse farm. Our alpacas are fortunate to have large areas of pasture to graze and stretch their legs. We strive to make our farm earth-friendly and sustainable. Our farm is completely powered by the sun, both through the solar panels on our roof and through the pasture grass we grow. We pride ourselves in providing our herd the highest quality facilities to ensure happy and healthy alpacas. Happy and healthy alpacas produce high quality fiber that we turn into first rate products.

LOST LAKE / KNOP’S POND

GROTON, MA

Lost Lake, also known as Knop’s Pond, is a reservoir in Groton, Massachusetts. It was formed from three lakes by the headwaters of Salmon Brook. The southern part of the lake is known as Knop’s Pond where it is nearly 30 feet deep. It is stocked with rainbow, brown and brook trout every spring and fall and is home to several species of warm water fish. A boat launch is located on the northeastern side of the lake.
