SeasonalIconSetMar – Nov

Shenandoah National Park

3655 U.S. Highway 211 East
Luray, Virginia 22835

Just 75 miles from the bustle of Washington, D.C., Shenandoah National Park is a land bursting with cascading waterfalls, spectacular vistas, fields of wildflowers, and quiet wooded hollows. With over 200,000 acres of protected lands that are haven to deer, songbirds, and black bear, there’s so much to explore…and your journey begins right here!

New Market Battlefield Military Museum

9500 George R. Collins Parkway
New Markey, Virginia 22844

Agriculture was the economic driving force of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia during the Civil War. By May of 1864, the Confederacy and its economy were inching closer to total collapse. Despite this, farms throughout the valley pressed on, as they had bellies to fill and bills to be paid. The Manor family farm of New Market, Virginia, was no exception.

Luray Zoo – A Rescue Zoo

1087 Us Highway 211 West
Luray, Virginia 22835

We are a small zoo located on about 3 acres. We have plenty of shade and places to sit while on your visit to the zoo. Little ones and adults love how close you get to be to the animals here at the zoo. The Zoo Owners Mark and Christine Kilby as well as the zoo staff is always out and about and love to talk to you and answer questions. We are passionate about animals and love sharing our knowledge with those who visit. Don’t forget to check out all the events, keeper talks & demonstrations going on at the zoo throughout the year!

Hawksbill Brewing Co.

22 Zerkel St, Luray,
Virginia 22835

The inspiration for Hawksbill Brewing Company originated in 2015 with the local farms of Page County. We set out with the goal of using local ingredients in our beers whenever we could, starting with hops grown in Luray, Virginia. By the time of our grand opening in 2017, we had developed beers that also used local honey and blackberries, and we’re creating new recipes that feature local ag products all the time. From the farm, to the kettle, to the keg, to the glass – that’s why we say our beers are “grown here, brewed here!”

Bear Mountain Ziplines

2354 US Hwy 211 East
Luray, Virginia 22835

Bear Mountain LLC is a family-owned and operated enterprise. Having spent many years living and raising a family in the Shenandoah Valley, we wanted to share the beauty of the area with others, at the same time adding some fun activities for both visitors and locals. We value other local businesses and resources, and can refer you to other area activities and places to stay during your visit; please see our page on More Area Recreation. If you have any questions about our company or the activities we offer, please feel free to contact us.
