From yurts to wagons to safari tents,

chalets, Airstream trailers, treehouses, and tiny homes, there are so many amazing places to go glamping in New England. So pick your pleasure, pack up your glamping gear, and step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary.

If unique experiences are what you seek, here are a few that will tickle your fancy. From budget to ultra-luxe, glamping (glamorous camping) comes in all flavors because — different strokes for different folks.

Just keep in mind that some of these are only open seasonally from spring through fall so be sure to check for availability. Also, look for whether or not they offer any heaters or cooling fans depending on the season of your visit. You will probably want to download my glamping packing list before you go.

Spacious Skies has five campground locations in New England and more throughout the east coast. Each campground offers different types of glamping accommodations including retro trailers and rustic and deluxe cabins. The campgrounds also offer great family-friendly amenities such as playgrounds, pools, recreation rooms, jumping pillows, nature trails, and even gem mining for the kids. For those that don’t want to rough it by walking to a shared bathhouse, Balsam Woods in Abbot, Maine has three deluxe, two-bedroom cabins with kitchenettes and a living/dining area that are great for families.
