Spacious Skies Campgrounds, owner and operator of 15 campgrounds from Maine to Georgia, is kicking the fun up a notch this year by introducing common-themed weekends, according to a press release.

Starting with a “Mardis Gras” celebration that was held from April 21-22 and ending with “Winter Fest” in late November, weekends throughout the year will cover topics such as “Mother’s Day,” “Father’s Day,” “Farm Life,” “Outer Space,” “Hollywood” and more. Prospective guests should check the specific campground pages on the Spacious Skies website for opening and closing dates to confirm the weekends each campground will be available to participate.

“Regardless of which campground our guests are visiting, the theme will be the same fun with a little local flair,” said Kate Thompson, director of communications of Spacious Skies Campgrounds. “I think we had almost as much fun coming up with the ideas as the people will have participating in these weekends. Not only will our teams have fun planned for our campers, but we also hope our guests embrace each theme by decorating their RV or their sites as well, so the whole campground feels festive.”

Some weekends follow traditional celebrations like “Stars N’ Stripes” from June 30-July 4 and “BBQ” coinciding with Labor Day, while others like “Hawaiian” and “It’s Everyone’s Birthday” are a little more unique. “Water Wars” promises to be a welcome cool down in August and “Halloween Preview” in mid-September is perfect for those who want a second excuse to put on a costume.

With 15 locations stretching from Maine to Georgia, Spacious Skies is a dynamic and growing company that acquired its first campground only two years ago. Since then, it has constantly been improving infrastructure, enhancing amenities, adding options for lodgings and adding activities, noted the release.

In the past year, Spacious Skies Campgrounds rolled out its Fall Color Trail, which highlighted the fall color as it progresses from campground destination to destination from North To South, and the Spring Bloom Trail, which follows the wildflower bloom from South to North.

Guests can reserve RV sites, tent sites, retro RV rentals, cabins and yurts where available online or by calling individual campgrounds.
