Spacious Skies Campgrounds Introduce Retro Trailer Rentals

Nowadays, there are tons of options available to those who love camping! Whether it’s in a tent, RV, cabin, or yurt, the whole family can have a great experience. To add to the fun, four of the twelve Spacious Skies Campgrounds in the eastern US are introducing retro trailer rentals that guests can stay in.

These rental units were built by Riverside RV and are actually brand new. However, they were designed to look like the retro trailers of the 1950s. With their charming exterior designs and color schemes, these retro-style trailers are sure to delight guests. They also have modern interiors and amenities, so you can enjoy the vintage design without any of the drawbacks of an outdated RV.

Where can you find these retro trailer rentals?

The Spacious Skies Campgrounds that will be offering retro trailer rentals are located in:

  • Alfred, Maine,
  • Henniker, New Hampshire,
  • Austerlitz, New York,
  • and Dorothy, New Jersey.

If you love to travel in the eastern United States, consider dropping in on one of these locations!

What are features of the new retro trailers?

Many people love the style and colors of vintage RVs, but the trailers are rarely comfortable to stay in. These outdated models have usually been worn down by time and don’t have the luxurious amenities and comforts that modern RVers want.

Luckily, the owners of Spacious Skies have taken that into consideration.

“The exteriors of the retro trailers look like they were charmingly preserved in the 1950s and are just now seeing the light of day, but they are decidedly modern on the inside.”

Ali Rasmussen, CEO/creative director of Spacious Skies

You can enjoy all the style and charm of these retro trailers without any of the drawbacks. The campers have been newly built by Riverside RV. They come in a range of sizes, so visitors can pick the model that best suits their needs. The smallest retro trailer is 13 feet long, while the largest one is 28 feet long.

The corners of these trailers are rounded, and each one has the old-school ridges on the outside. They are painted in a two-tone style, with colorful stripes running down the sides. Most trailers have a white base tone. They are then streaked with lines of red, blue, turqoise, or another bright accent color.

The interior of these campers also hearkens back to the style of the 1950s. The campers have cute checkerboard floors, vintage patterns, and birch cabinetry. Bright furniture provides a pop of color as well!

Each trailer is also stocked with essential items and amenities. Every unit has a full kitchen, complete with a stove, sink, oven, and microwave. Guests can also use the provided dishes. These include full sets of flatware, utensils, cups, bowls, etc. There’s even a coffee maker, so you won’t have to leave the RV to get your morning brew.

These retro trailer rentals are the next step in the evolution of Spacious Skies. Guests are guaranteed to have a great experience in these campers. Reservations can be made via phone calls or website bookings of all participating campgrounds.

Participating campgrounds

So far, only four of the twelve Spacious Skies Campgrounds will offer retro trailer rentals. The company may eventually roll these out to more locations, and they also have plans to incorporate yurts, safari tents, treehouses, and more (source).
